It’s no secret that the new Slivers are mechanically inspired by the old Slivers, that’s an obvious connection. But just how much better are the New compared to the Old?
Striking Sliver vs. Talon Sliver - Obviously Striking Sliver wins on this one. It’s the exact same in every way except it’s red and costs 1 less mana, and only affects your Slivers.
Bonescythe Sliver vs. Fury Sliver - New Slivers win again with Bonescythe. Yes it has 1 less power, but it also costs 2 less mana. it also only affects your Slivers.
Battle Sliver vs. Bonesplitter Sliver - If there was no difference between New and Old Slivers, then I would call it a tie. But Battle Sliver wins this one for being on the same CMC to P/T ratio, but only affecting your Slivers.
Megantic Sliver vs. Might Sliver - This is no contest. Megantic Sliver is an easier to cast Collective Blessing on a 6/6 body for 6 mana. It’s damn good.
Groundshaker Sliver vs. Horned Sliver - The only Old Sliver on this list to win, Horned Sliver is damned awesome, giving all Slivers trample for only 3 mana is great.
So all in all, New Slivers are indeed better than Old Slivers, that’s just the way it is.
PS: Yes I know there are other New Slivers, but they’re either insignificant or have no real competition.
This is what I dont get. They made these new slivers EVEN MORE powerful than they were before, and they’re gonna release them in a core set. And I read somewhere they they redesigned them just because they were too powerful. SO this makes no sense. Also they barely even look like slivers now. Hell, Megantic Sliver is straight up treefolk.
What you read was bullshit. They redesigned them because they had to. in the NWO, creature lords only benefit things you control. Slivers were never too powerful, they just created stupidly complex board states. These Slivers are a lot more simple, as you only need to track yours.
The idea behind the art redesign was that they have totally exhausted what they could do with scythe-arm-worm-tail and wanted something new. All their designs still retain something from the old Slivers though, such as one arm being bigger or sharper than the rest, or having tendrils coming from their head or back.
The explanation is that they have evolved more since the last time we saw them, it’s only been about 100 years since we last them, but that was in Time Spirale. If we’re going back to the last time we REALLY saw Slivers, it was more like a couple thousand years. Given that Slivers evolve quickly, it makes sense story wise.
And that’s all I have to say about Slivers.
In every circumstance the cheaper Sliver wins, flat out. The +2 and +3 are nigh unplayable, short of in their own Standard formats.

all these girls just tweeting now “The Great Gatsby looks so good!”
NO. YOU ONLY WANT TO SEE IT BECAUSE OF LEONARDO. HAVE YOU READ THE BOOK? NO. YOU PROBABLY HAD NO IDEA THAT THE GREAT GATSBY EVEN EXISTED BEFORE THE MOVIE, WHICH IS SAD. BECAUSE IT’S A CLASSIC. Some…
I only want to see it because Leo.
People being angry about ~dem gays~ on Target’s Facebook.
I just want to give my two cents on this and tell you a story.
A couple weeks ago, I was hired at Target. I have a job at Target. Not a big deal right?
It is a big deal because i’m a transman.
It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that it’s hard for me, my brothers, and sisters to get a job. There are legal restraints regarding the job and if you don’t pass, it’s hard to be taken seriously at a job interview.
Right on the application, it asks what your preferred name is. It also asks if there is anything that target should know. I put the fact that I am a transman, expecting not to get a call because usually when you put that down, people will throw out the application. I got TWO interviews.
At the interview, they asked me about it. I told them I am on hormones and they told me that they didn’t care. Not in the sense that they don’t emotionally care, but that it didn’t matter. I was male and that’s all that mattered. They also told me that they give sex same couples benefits in states that do not recognize them as a married couple.
At my job orientation, I was not misgendered once. Even my supervisors who weren’t sure of my gender avoided pronoun use, which I found only happens when you’ve had pronoun training. They gave me a name tag with my preferred name and didn’t ask questions. I felt safe and respected, which is huge for a trans* person.
TLDR: Target is amazing not just for the LGB, but also the T. Shop there for the rest of your life.
Christians claiming to be oppressed by homosexuals is simultaneously one of the saddest and most hilarious things in the universe.
I think I’ll wear this on a T-Shirt just so these people never want to talk to me.

Is this is a figurative illustration of an obese persons discovery of their love for unhealthy foods, and how their excitement and pleasure from such constant indulgence distracts them from realizing their unhealthy lifestyle that ultimately results in their death from heart failure?
Nah man, I just really like chocolate oranges.
Best comeback ever.

It’s like interpretive dance, a form of modern art.

Fucking around with a faux undercut again… I really can’t make my mind up at all. It’s literally going to come down to the flip of a coin I think. I’d have to trim the top down a bit if I did it. Also, fucking hell, I’m smiling. What?
Opinions? Long hair like in my display pic or proper undercut?
Also, where the fuck did the last pic come from? Where did I learn to pose like that?
I can imagine you doing that last one. - And now I can sleep well.
